Cinnebar – Five Mile Loop

Here’s a long singletrack loop for expert motorbike riders. The ride could be as long as 50 miles or more. Travel time would be 5 hours or more, depending on your skill level. How to get there: Take Idaho Highway 75 east of Yankee Fork to the Squaw Creek Road #041. The turnoff is the next left after the Thompson Creek Road, before you reach Clayton. Drive up the Squaw Creek Road to the junction of the Cinnebar Trail #44 and Road #41. Park. The ride starts here. Ride up the Cinnebar Trail about 8 miles to a junction with the Five Mile Creek Trail #161. Turn right on the Five Mile Trail and go one mile, then turn right on left on Trail #163 and ride that down to the Yankee Fork Road, following Forest Road #039 at the end of the trail. Turn left on the Yankee Fork Road #013, and then an immediate left on Forest Road #655 to scale Silver Creek Trail #168 to the top of the ridge. Turn left at the ridge on Trail #169 and follow that to Trail #162 and follow #162 back to the Cinnebar Creek Trailhead. Self-contained trip. No services. Bring plenty of food and water.
